100% of the profits of this coffee will be donated to The Sameer Project relief effort in North Gaza. They just entered stage 5 famine, the most severe level of food insecurity possible.

We are not going to lie: we have lost sales, customers, opportunities and followers since we started to advocate for the Palestinian cause 4 years ago.
So why is a coffee company so engaged in this cause?
Because true solidarity costs something, and breaking the status quo is not free. Because this is OUR MORAL IMPERATIVE, and it should be for everyone.

Our humanity demands from us that we do our part to stop a live genocide.

The coffee featured in this bag is the Yellow Caturra by Luis Roldan, a staple on our menu for the past 5 years. A light to medium roast, it's perfect and versatile for both filter and espresso.

This coffee fits this initiative perfectly. The Palestinians, who have been fighting for their Indigenous land since 1948; the Cafe Colis Resistancia, a group of coffee producers of mostly Xinka descent, have been fighting for theirs for over a decade.
Miles apart, but similar fight: a fight against land theft, dispossession, settler colonialism and imperialism.

It's time that the coffee industry, as a whole starts, caring about people in the Global South - aka, the Global majority - not only when they can benefit from it, but all the time. Because justice is indivisible.
