This coffee fits this initiative perfectly. The Palestinians, who have been fighting for their Indigenous land since 1948; theCafe Colis Resistancia, a group of coffee producers of mostly Xinka descent, have been fighting for theirs for over a decade. Miles apart, but similar fight: a fight against land theft, dispossession, settler colonialism and imperialism.
It's time that the coffee industry, as a whole starts, caring about people in the Global South - aka, the Global majority - not only when they can benefit from it, but all the time. Because justice is indivisible.
